Baba Obasanjo is a lot of things. And his legacy is a complex one. Ruler of the largest Black Nation in the World; the Giant of Africa, Nigeria. Military Dictator. Bringer of Democracy. Elected leader. But also the man who sent “Zombies” to Fela’s house. He is an internationally relevant elder. Co-Chair of the Commonwealth Eminent Persons Group; member of the Palme Commission.
But he has his own unique personality and style. Even considering the Nigerian context, and the strong, colorful personas that those of us who were shaped by that cauldron tend to have.
